Everyone needs a little time out once in a while to re-centre and re-charge and I couldn’t think of a more perfect place than Mexico to do just that. If you are thinking of heading I highly recommend, look out for my next blog post as I’ll be sharing my journey and recommendations.
I took some time out to reflect on what a special month it had been, here is my highlights in pictures …
after starting and failing the Instagram challenge #machmeetthemaker my holiday has given me the kick start I needed to be more open and talk more on Instagram. Maps are a beautiful way to document and remember journeys, so I am going to start creating more of them and sharing with you all.
back in the saddle
After 15 years of not riding a bike, I got back on the saddle and the saying is true, you never really do forget, well apart from the one time I fell into a bush whilst crossing a main road to get to the cycle path.
international women’s day
On such a special day, in such a special country there was only one woman to honour and that was the fabulous Frida Kahlo. I sat on a heavenly island to draw the wonder woman I am in awe of and and had the pleasure of exploring her house whilst visiting Mexico City too.
in order to re-charge I used the time to read and relax, I got lost in ‘This Is Going To Hurt’ by Adam Kay (you can read my review here) I carried it around in my trusty ‘Peekaboo Fawn Pug Tote,’ I’m currently offering 15% off my tote bags with the discount code PUGONTOUR20, take a look at my online shop.
I keep my little doodle book with me at all times so I can draw anything and everything that inspires me, Oaxaca (pronounced Wahaca) was like a toy town and just too precious not to draw.
mums the word
I got back from my holiday just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day, I sat in the sun with my lovely Mum, Margot and a glass of rose, going through all my past cards I am trying to make more time to appreciate achievements and that rounded off the month perfectly.
